VDI Shank
Peterson’s ThriftChange® and ThriftEdge® VDI tooling system is designed for CNC Machines and the specified shank sizes. The VDI holding system includes the VDI Body, Anvils, Clamps and Inserts for the ease in changing inserts and changing from part to part.
VDI Holder: is the precision ground component held in the specified shank holder and is manufactured to accept explicit designs to manufacture the part.
Anvils: is the precision ground component that precisely locates and supports the insert along the cutting edge.
Clamps: is the component that holds the insert into the precision ground anvil location.
Insert: is the cutting tool manufactured to specific geometries, precision tolerances and coated based upon the given manufacturing process and material being machined.
