Peterson Tool Company’s ThriftTurn® tooling system is designed for most Automatic Bar machines. The ThriftTurn® holding system includes the floating holder, rolls, anvils, clamps and inserts for the ease in changing inserts and changing from part to part.

ThriftTurn® Holder Body: is the precision ground component held in the specified machine holder and is manufactured to explicit floating holder size and clearances.

Rolls: is the precision ground component that precisely locates and supports part while setting the distance to the insert’s cutting edge.

Anvils: is the precision ground component that precisely locates and supports the insert along the cutting edge.

Clamps: is the component that holds the insert into the precision ground anvil location.

Insert: is the cutting tool manufactured to specific geometries, precision tolerances and coated based upon the given manufacturing process and material being machined.
